Time: 10am
Date: Sunday 5 April 2026
Location:
In the lead up to Easter, we are setting aside 21 days to intentionally pray and fast. We encourage you to use this time to draw closer to God, seek Him for revelation or discernment, and reaffirm His will as your top priority.
Recommended ways you can fast:
Reminder:
“But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4
Many churches today do not realise that the definition of Christian fasting has drifted from what is detailed throughout the Bible. What was always clearly an abstinence from eating has become a substitution of other things. Is fasting social media equivalent to fasting food?
In this conversation we unpack some ideas around fasting—what it is, what it isn’t, and why we practise it as a church. We hope to provide you with a better understanding of fasting, so you can approach this life-giving practise with clarity and confidence.

As part of our 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting, we’ll be hosting a Men’s Prayer Night and a Women’s Prayer Night. These are intentional spaces to seek God, pray boldly, and stand together in faith.
We’ve separated the gatherings to make it easier for families to coordinate household responsibilities.
Men’s Prayer Meeting | 7PM Wednesday 18th March
Women’s Prayer Meeting | 7PM Wednesday 25th March
Location: Strong Nation Church Hawkesbury

During these 21 Days in the lead up to Easter, you can follow along with our Bible plan on YouVersion by setting Strong Nation as your church and journeying through it with us.
We have also provided a link where you can take a deeper look into fasting to help answer questions and guide you through this season.
Our Mountains Church family is gathering around Passover to reflect on God’s faithfulness in the lead up to Easter.
This Passover Dinner is one of our "Big Family Gatherings" where we share a meal and meet together with our church family for fellowship outside of a regular service. These Big Family Gatherings are a great place to build a sense of belonging within our church.
Come along to see what it's all about!
